CricKingdom School Champions Trophy – Powering the Future of Cricket from the Ground Up

At CricKingdom, we believe that champions aren't born overnight – they are discovered, nurtured, and empowered through the right platforms. With this vision, the recently concluded School Champions Trophy in Ranchi marked a significant milestone in our grassroots cricket journey.

Hosted at OSGS Ranchi, the third edition of this tournament brought together young, aspiring cricketers from local academies and schools, giving them a competitive arena to showcase their skills and passion for the game.

Why School-Level Tournaments Matter

In a country where cricket is more than just a sport, creating structured opportunities at the school level is vital. The CricKingdom School Champions Trophy is designed to identify and promote talent early on, providing budding players with the exposure and experience needed to evolve into serious athletes.

This edition saw participation from four enthusiastic teams:

• Crickingdom OSGS Blue

• Crickingdom OSGS Yellow

• Bajra Cricket Club

• Ranchi Warriors

The matches were filled with energy, competition, and standout performances, offering valuable match experience and a strong foundation in team dynamics and sportsmanship.

The Big Finale – A Showcase of Rising Talent

The final match was played between Crickingdom OSGS Blue and Bajra Cricket Club. Bajra Cricket Club set a strong target of 174/9 in 20 overs, backed by impactful innings from Harsh Kumar and Mayank Sameer Chauhan. In response, Crickingdom OSGS Blue put up a fight but were bowled out for 78 runs, with Bajra Cricket Club securing a commanding 96-run win.

Harsh Kumar was named Player of the Tournament and Best Batter, while Mohit Tirkey’s 12-wicket haul earned him the Best Bowler title. Saumya Singh was recognised as Best Fielder, reflecting the high level of skill and competitiveness the tournament fostered.

This tournament exemplifies how grassroots cricket initiatives can make a real difference. By bringing structured tournaments to cities like Ranchi, CricKingdom is contributing to the larger ecosystem of cricket development in India.
