CricKingdom Reinforces Trust in UAE: Parents Refunded, Coaches Supported, and New Academy Announced
Dubai, UAE – August 2025
CricKingdom – A Cricket Academy by Rohit Sharma – has taken concrete steps to address concerns raised by parents in the UAE following issues with a former franchise-operated centre. In a move that underscores its commitment to integrity and professionalism, the leadership at CricKingdom has successfully processed refunds for families who had registered their children with the earlier franchise academy.
Several parents have since come forward to express their appreciation for the way CricKingdom handled the situation. Rohit Angrish, a parent based in Dubai, confirmed receipt of the refund and shared his sentiments: “Although the Grassport incident left a negative experience, I have previously experienced CricKingdom in another country and would be happy to explore enrolling my son again in your academy.”
Another parent, Mr Bhupatni, expressed his initial disappointment but praised CricKingdom’s responsible handling of the matter. “We were disappointed when the management issues between Grassport and CricKingdom began, and we assumed we wouldn’t be compensated. However, I believed CricKingdom is a brand that wouldn’t act unfavourably towards parents – and they proved that. We never had any issues with the coaches, and we would definitely like to re-enrol if the same coaches and location are retained.”
Mr Sameer, another Dubai-based parent, shared his positive experience with the refund process: “I was impressed by how smoothly the refund was processed. The support team was responsive and professional, handling everything within just a few business days without any hassle. Based on this experience, I would definitely consider using their services again in the future.”
While addressing parental concerns through the refund process, CricKingdom is also actively working towards resolving another critical matter – concerns raised by coaches regarding unpaid salaries during their tenure under the franchise model. Although, as per the agreement, the responsibility for salary payments rested with the franchise partner, CricKingdom has chosen to intervene and engage directly with the coaches to evaluate their grievances. The organisation’s leadership believes that coaches are the backbone of any cricket academy, playing a frontline role in nurturing young talent. CricKingdom remains committed to supporting their welfare and ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
In a major development, CricKingdom has announced that it will soon be launching its own flagship academy in the UAE, which will be fully operated and managed by the core leadership team. This strategic move marks a clear departure from the franchise model and reflects the company’s intent to provide a more consistent, controlled, and high-quality cricketing environment for aspiring young cricketers in the region. To lead this initiative, Mr Sushil Sharma from CricKingdom’s leadership team will be relocating to the UAE to oversee the establishment and operations of the new academy.
With its swift and empathetic response to the concerns of both parents and coaches, and the announcement of a directly managed academy, CricKingdom has once again demonstrated its commitment to cricketing excellence, transparency, and trust – values that are central to its vision of building a global cricketing community rooted in integrity and care.
